The main character of this novel is an anti-hero named Indigo Blue. Composed of partially autobiographical, and partially fictional properties. The story is a description of his birth, life, and death. As the plot builds up, it also periodically alternates between first, second, and third person perspectives. After being born mostly human and part kangaroo, Indigo Blue evolves from his childhood and into his adult years the quientessential citizen of earth, living out the brass tacks of the blue collar, working class, American dream, when suddenly, everything that matters to him is abruptly taken away and his world is turned upside down. Indigo Blue desperately falls apart at the seams, and just when he feels his entire existence has become meaningless, he is compelled to embark on a journey to find purpose, hope, and peace of mind once again, right before he cashes in all of his chips...
